Profile
Hugo Pinaud, junior art director.
1,300 km run in 2025: I approach my projects the way I approach a long run — with method — from hand-sewn fanzines to leaflets handed out at the Monaco Grand Prix.
My name is Hugo and I'm still studying art direction. I'm passionate about sport in all its forms, and just as much about graphic design in all of its: printed objects — posters, fanzines, leaflets — as much as 3D.
My studies are about turning that into a job. My process is built on research and experimentation: composition, typography, framing, light, and an understanding of market codes, so that every object — a poster, a package, a leaflet — looks like it already exists.
Learn a technique, then take it somewhere else: that's my method. A bottle becomes a champagne house invented all the way to its gift box; a retouching technique becomes a campaign. Other projects start from a blank page, a sewing machine or a race weekend — and in every case, art direction begins where the model ends.
I'm looking for a three-month art direction internship, January to the end of March 2027, in an agency, a design studio or a brand — on site or remote, anywhere in France.

Off screen
Printed objects, a real audience.
Three things a screen can't show — and, the rest of the time, running, sailing and climbing.
I printed and hand-bound the 39 copies of an 18-page fanzine, then handed them to agencies in Lyon.
January 2026A volunteer at the Monaco Grand Prix for three months, I checked tickets, seated the crowd and kept the crossings safe.
April to June 2026On the circuit, over race weekend, I handed out the 83 copies of a job-application leaflet disguised as a programme.
